About KIIT

Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) is a multidisciplinary Deemed to be University located in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India. Established in 1992 as a modest vocational training school by Prof. Achyuta Samanta, KIIT was granted the status of a Deemed to be University in 2004 under Section 3 of the UGC Act. Since then, it has grown into one of India's most respected institutions of higher learning.

KIIT currently houses over 30 schools and centres offering more than 200 programmes across engineering, management, law, biotechnology, medicine, rural management, and the liberal arts. With more than 40,000 students - including over 2,000 international students from 65 countries - KIIT embodies the university's founding vision of accessible, world-class education regardless of socioeconomic background.

KIIT is accredited with NAAC A++ - the highest grade awarded by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council - and is consistently ranked among India's top universities by NIRF, QS, and Times Higher Education.
